From Vision to Visuals

Nuts Over Dates (NOD) is a Chicago-based clean-label CPG brand offering plant-based superfood bites made with simple, natural ingredients. Vegan, gluten-free, and packed with nutrition, NOD stands for guilt-free indulgence and functional snacking. The Schedio was brought in to lead a full rebrand — creating a visual identity and packaging system that reflected the brand’s values of nourishment, transparency, and everyday wellness in a highly competitive natural food space.

Despite a strong product-market fit, the existing brand lacked visual clarity and shelf presence. The challenge was to build an identity that emphasized ingredient integrity, lifestyle relevance, and strong SKU differentiation — while ensuring the system could scale across retail, DTC, and wholesale formats.

We refined the logo to feel more modern and approachable, and established a flavor-based color system to create instant recognition across variants. The packaging design highlights key nutritional benefits upfront, using custom ingredient illustrations, clear labeling, and a layout that feels both vibrant and honest. The clean aesthetic reflects the brand’s “nothing to hide” approach — a vital trait in the clean-label CPG space.
